Our lives are mostly spent thinking about the past or planning for the future. So we often miss what is happening in the here-and-now. Diminished awareness of the present moment severely limits our ability to live to the fullest. Mindfulness is about living consciously rather than living on autopilot.
A being in a restaurant provides a unique opportunity to practice mindfulness. In this informal mindfulness class, you will learn how to practice mindfulness and bring your mind back to the present moment while in a restaurant. The mindfulness practice allows you to discover and experience richness of present moment. So that you can enjoy more of eating food and your time in a restaurant and convert your eating activity into an opportunity to learn and enhance your mindfulness skills.
This is an informal mindfulness class intending to teach mindfulness techniques which you can use in your daily living. Instruction provided. Free to participate. If you are coming to this event on Dec 5, 2010, 6 PM in Burnaby, email Sung.
